Families Overestimate the Costs of College

The A study released by the National Center for Education Statistics found that families often overestimate the cost of college tuition at four-year public institutions. It further suggested that this may discourage many high school seniors from even applying to college.

This study goes on to say that just barely over 50% of high school seniors and their parents have obtained college cost information.
